{"id":596,"date":"2009-03-08T17:44:51","date_gmt":"2009-03-09T01:44:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jerslife.com\/word\/?p=596"},"modified":"2009-03-17T20:56:06","modified_gmt":"2009-03-18T04:56:06","slug":"home-theater-projector-screen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.jerslife.com\/word\/home-theater-projector-screen","title":{"rendered":"Home Theater Projector&#8230;   screen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So I picked up a Sony projector the other day. \u00a0FINALLY!! \u00a0It&#8217;s an older model that I got for about 1k (including\u00a0cables &amp;\u00a0tax).<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m projecting it on the wall for testing&#8230; but it&#8217;s actually not bad, and considering I&#8217;ve got a forest green wall. \u00a0Hah. \u00a0Neat.<\/p>\n<p>Anyhow, I&#8217;ve been told about this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.truveo.com\/Goo-Projection-Screen-Paint-Kit\/id\/1465692353\">refletive paint<\/a>. \u00a0Or <a href=\"http:\/\/members.shaw.ca\/danhanson\/Theater\/screen\/screenproject.htm\">some recommend using &#8220;blackout cloth<\/a>&#8220;. \u00a0They say it&#8217;s used to line drapes to completely block out light. \u00a0Looks like you can get it in grey, which sounds good for contrast balancing. \u00a0Some<a href=\"http:\/\/www.projectorcentral.com\/diy_screen.htm\"> guys even recommend paper<\/a> (which wouldn&#8217;t survive in my place). \u00a0Or whynot skip the middle men and just go <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tootoo.com\/d-rp19756636-projection_projector_screen_fabric\/\">right to China<\/a>. \u00a0&#8220;Can we get it by the yard?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lumenlab.com\/forums\/index.php?s=8f265580247aac2b1acb28c0268d95f7&amp;showtopic=5&amp;st=25\">Lumanlab thread<\/a> has some good info, till you hit the expired MSN links.<\/p>\n<p>I thought abot a screen, but now I&#8217;m thinking a strip that goes across the whole wall. \u00a0If it&#8217;s just the right grey, it might even help blend these walls. \u00a0Hmm&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve gotta start digging a deeper than just the first page of a Google search.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So I picked up a Sony projector the other day. \u00a0FINALLY!! \u00a0It&#8217;s an older model that I got for about 1k (including\u00a0cables &amp;\u00a0tax).
