This past week was the annual <a href=\"http:\/\/nxne.com\/\"title=\"North By Northeast Music And Film Festival &amp; Conference\" >North By Northeast Music &amp; Film Festival<\/a>&#8230;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 and Conference.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jerslife.com\/word\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/WEMF_FlyerPeeps_6891.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-1802 alignright\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" title=\"WEMF_FlyerPeeps_6891\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jerslife.com\/word\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/WEMF_FlyerPeeps_6891-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>On Thursday I went to a show that started at midnight and ended at a 4am?\u00a0 A friend of mine recommended I join her to see <a href=\"http:\/\/noahpred.com\/\"title=\"Noah Pred's Website\" >Noah Pred<\/a>, who did not disappoint. There&#8217;s plenty of music being labeled, &#8220;Tech House&#8221;&#8230; and I&#8217;m really liking the sound of much of what I&#8217;ve heard&#8230;\u00a0 especially when it stays tribal and funky.\u00a0 I&#8217;m tempted to call it &#8220;Minimal House&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday I was taking a rail car\u00a0 into downtown and disembarked when we hit a diversion point.\u00a0 I soon walked past a huge line of Lady Gaga fans who were waiting for hear arrival. In Dundas Square, I was with thousands watching Devo playing on a big screen.\u00a0 Large, free (with donation) bottles of energy drink were being consumed by many.\u00a0 Even ran into , complete with illuminated logo t-shirts. Plus, all week long, many venues received a special alteration to their liquor licenses&#8230;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 they could serve till 4am???<\/p>\n<p>On a different, but similar note&#8230;\u00a0 Sunday night was my first experience of Cherry Beach. Other than <a href=\"http:\/\/www.maxxfish.moonfruit.com\/#\/events\/4520106286\"title=\"Mat the Alien @ Maxx Fish\" >Tuesday night&#8217;s in Whistler, BC<\/a>&#8230;\u00a0 I haven&#8217;t seen this many people rock it out on a School Night in a long time.\u00a0 What?\u00a0 You say this is EVERY Sunday?\u00a0 Oooh boy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was unaware of what was going on, till it was almost over.
